Fire Warden / Marshall Course

Introduction:

This half day course is intended for staff members who have responsibility for Fire Safety within the organisation.

It will also provide the essential foundation for Fire Marshall’s to meet their increased responsibilities with the new Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997. This new regulation which came into effect on 1 December 1997 and includes the requirement for all employers to complete an 'assessment of fire risk' for people in the workplace.

All delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Course Content

Legislation of Fire Certificate
Fire safety and prevention
Chemistry of fire
Practical use of fire fighting equipment
Evacuation procedures (with practical work)
Fire risk assessment and audit techniques
Development of fire emergency procedures

Duration:
½ day (up to a maximum of 10 people)
