H.S.E. Accredited Emergency First Aid at Work Course

Introduction:

This is a one day course that is designed to meet the requirements for an appointed person under the 1981 First Aid regulations.

Training will be conducted within your workplace, assuming that suitable facilities are available to conduct the course. In the event that this is not possible an alternative venue will be required which may incur an additional cost.

In order to gain maximum benefit, delegates will be expected to take full and active part in discussions and exercises, to share knowledge, understanding and best practice.

The course takes place over a period of approximately 7 hours instruction and covers the following topics: Health & Safety (First Aid Regulations 1981)

Incident Action Plan
Problems of the Airway
Problems of the Circulatory System
C. P. R.
Bleeding & Shock
Casualty Assessment
Burns and Scalds
Additional modules can include:
- Infant C. P. R. (baby and small child)
- Poisons
- Child Illness
- Fractures
- Common Illness
- Strokes

HSE Approved Training Duration:
Emergency First Aid at Work Course 6 hours run over 1 day valid for 3 years cost includes

A4 certificate on parchment type paper

This course is subject to a maximum of twelve delegates.
