First Aid Appointed Person

Introduction:

This is a one day course that is designed to meet the requirements for an appointed person under the 1981 First Aid regulations.

Training will be conducted within your workplace, assuming that suitable facilities are available to conduct the course. In the event that this is not possible an alternative venue will be required which may incur an additional cost.

The course takes place over a period of approximately 7 hours instruction and covers the following topics: Health & Safety (First Aid Regulations 1981)

Course Content

• First Aid Equipment
• Incident Action Plan
• Problems of the Airway
• Problems of the Circulatory System
• C. P. R.
• Bleeding & Shock
• Casualty Assessment
• Burns and Scalds
• Additional modules can include:
  • Infant C. P. R. (baby and small child)
  • Poisons
  • Child Illness
  • Fractures
  • Common Illness
  • Strokes

Every delegate will receive comprehensive course material and a certificate of attendance.

Duration:
1 day (at least 7 hours instruction) To suit client requirements
This course is subject to a maximum of twelve delegates.
