Aims and Objectives

This course applies to anybody in industry and commerce. It provides the fundamentals of good health and safety practice in the workplace for people from a practical background.

The training programme covers the critical aspects of the working environment and the welfare of its inhabitants. Duties and responsibilities, the principles of accident prevention, hazard spotting and practical tasks actively highlighted using your company policies as a framework.

The training tasks the form of a tutor led group using practical tasks and supported by video and OHP presentations.

Responsibilities and Liabilities
Hazard Spotting
Manual Handling
Use of Work Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment
Fire Safety
Control of Noise
Hazardous Substances/Introduction to COSHH
Access/Working at Heights
First Aid

Each course participant will receive a comprehensive manual regarding Health & Safety.

Duration:
2½ Days (Maximum of ten (10) people on clients premises)
