Kinetic Handling - Course 113/113A

Objectives
This course offers a thorough knowledge of causes of injury due to incorrect lifting techniques. Participants of the course will fully understand how using simple correct methods and protective clothing can, if not eradicate, then greatly reduce injury and loss of working hours therefore becoming a more efficient workforce.

09:00 - 09:15 :	Introduction - Objectives
09:15 - 10:00 :	The Scale of the Problem Legislation, Current and Proposed Description of Spine, Spinal Column and Nervous System
10:00 - 10:15 :	Coffee
10:15 - 11:00 :	Physical effects of Poor Lifting Techniques Protective Clothing and Equipment Manual Handling Aides and Devices Recommended Maximum Weights
11:00 - 11:30 :	Film - This section is used to enhance previous sessions
11:30 - 12:30 :	Practical Lifting Exercises
12:30 - 13:30 :	Lunch
13:30 - 15:00 :	Practical Lifting using Handling Aids and Devices
15:00 - 15:15 :	Coffee
15:15 - 16:00 :	Effective Manual Handling Theory Test
16:00 - 17:15 :	Practical Test on Kinetic Handling
17:15 - 17:30 :	Course Conclusion and Feedback

Duration:
1 Day. Maximum: 10 Trainees.
