Safety Awareness for Managers and Supervisors

Introduction

This course is designed to meet the requirements of all persons with a degree of responsibility for Health, safety and Welfare at places of work e.g. Managers, Supervisors, Safety Advisors or Representatives.

Objectives

The objective of this course is to lay a foundation of Heath and Safety information, thereby enabling personnel to understand and cope with the problems.

Course Content

• Law: Acts, Regulations
• 1992 Regulations:
  • The Management of Heath & Safety at Work Regulations
  • The Workplace ( Heath Safety and Welfare ) Regulations
  • The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (1998)
  • The Personnel Protective Equipment at Work Regulations
  • The Health & Safety (Display Screen) Equipment Regulations
  • Manual Handling Operations Regulations
• Guidance: Approve Code of Practice, Code of Practice and Guidelines. 
• Video: Common Sense Guide to Health and Safety or Safety Manager
• Test - Theoretical test

Certification:

Attendance Certificate issued to Course Delegates on successful completion

Duration:
1 day Basic Introduction or 2 day Comprehensive
(Maximum of ten (10) people on clients premises)

All  tutors will be registered with NPORS to conduct site safety awareness courses.
