also builds the high level of self-confidence needed to adapt to our
ever changing world.
Self Belief
Are you holding yourself back because of listening to the negative
utterances of others, instead of listening to yourself and believing in
yourself? Some of us live this life of uncertainty, always looking for
approval from others before making a decision rather than listening to
our own voices, and believing that we can. Once we start to believe in
ourselves we begin a journey of personal yet reflective growth, allowing
us to fulfil our goals yet encouraging others to fulfil their goals. The
outcome of this is we not only achieve their own unique potential but we
assist other to achieve theirs.
Embracing Change
How can we deal effectively with change? The challenge of change is
all around us, it's unavoidable, and part of the process of life.
Familiar change we can more-or-less expect, anticipate and deal with: we
grow older, we learn new things, we expect to get a flu in winter, our
favourite team has a losing streak, etc.
It is, however, normal to feel disoriented in the midst of
unfamiliar, or unexpected, change and cues. In our rapid-fire, rapidly
changing world, our schedules, plans and routines become disrupted in
unexpected ways. The recent mortgage crisis, the stock market crash, and
the global economic turmoil are all unexpected, profound, changes that
most people simply did not expect to happen. Without this ability to
adapt embrace change we would not have the technology and industry that
we have and are continually developing. Change is a part of living and
without it we would stagnate, we must learn to embrace change, learn
from it and gain positively from it.
