Introduction

This programme is for existing groups and newly created teams who want to gain more understanding about how each person can make his/her best contribution and how to help the team operate more effectively. The day does NOT involve messing about in boats in freezing cold water, climbing rock faces or abseiling down cliffs. It is conducted on customers premises where possible.

Aims and Objectives

• To improve each team member’s self awareness and understanding of his/her strengths and weaknesses.
• To provide understanding and acceptance of which strengths, best role and style to use in team tasks.
• To improve overall communication (and to share skills).
• To enable teams to recognise the importance of establishing clear goals/objectives and thus achieve the reduction of inter-group conflict.
• To improve negotiating skills.
• To improve problem solving capabilities.
• To aid individual and team motivation.
• To improve overall team effectiveness.

Content

• Identifying roles and types utilising both self awareness techniques and inventories.
• Interactive “games” to encourage joint problem solving and to increase awareness of individual and group needs, strengths and weaknesses.
• Elements of “gentle” competition to demonstrate the need for full understanding and establishment of mutually agreed objectives, and thus true communication.

Duration:
1 Day (Eight (8) to sixteen (16) people on clients premises)
